I can definitely relate Kat. There will be "friends" who take advantage of you and those who say you've changed because you're doing things for yourself. Life will keep moving forward and we'll eventually meet people who support us.
I resonate with this </3 Thank you for sharing. Sorry your friends disappointed you. It’s amazing you’re giving a TED Talk - congrats, and I’m know your talk will be so inspiring to thousands of people if not millions!
When those we've shared huge swaths of our lives and hearts with let us down or desert us, the shock is immense. When the betrayal is done through quiet and mundane actions, somehow the burn is even worse.
F k them anyway, they suck. You don't. Keep shining your audacious light, ma'am. I am here for it.
You're so talented, kind, and generous to share your recipes and making seamlessly available for folks of all types to utilize. A TED talk is HUGE and it makes sense that you would give one. Thank-you for your wisdom as well, it helped healed my heart a bit after losing 4 of my own best friends as I started to achieve more for myself as well. I know your friends aren't replacable, but you will keep meeting more people who are irreplaceable. The Web Comic "Gourmet Hound" taught me", sending love and cheering!
The best friends I have today are ones I met as I started to grow my new career and life. They showed up for me physically, would fly to see me, and are always there! Thank you for sharing your experiences and this beautiful message with me, Thao! I wish for us to heal and are forever surrounded by the best people
WOW! A TED talk! I am so excited for you and eager to watch/listen in when the time is right. You will be an amazing and powerful speaker and presenter!
Yep. I have friends and family that never show up for any of my exhibitions. Some have good excuse such as working, but others, crickets. I just have to shrug it off as it isn't really a reflection on me. It's also a reflection on me when I show up for their events too. But
